National Honor Societies

Gamma Kappa Alpha National Italian Honor Society

Regular members are seniors graduating with a major or minor in Italian who have completed at least one Italian course at the 300-level, who have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in Italian, who rank in the top 35% of their class and have significantly contributed to the fostering of Italian studies and culture in the community. Advisor: Dr. Giacomo Striuli.

Pi Delta Phi (Nu Tau) National French Honor Society

Qualified members must be seniors with  a major or minor in French, have a B (3.0) average in the aggregate of all courses in French, and rank at least in the upper 35% of their class.  Advisor: Dr. Cyrielle Faivre.

Phi Sigma Iota International Foreign Language Honor Society

Qualified members must be seniors majoring in a foreign language, have a B (3.0) average in the aggregate of all courses in a foreign language, and rank at least in the upper 35% of their class. Advisor: Dr. Alison Caplan.

Sigma Delta Pi (Nu Rho) National Spanish Honor Society

Qualified members are senior Spanish majors or minors who have completed at least one course in Hispanic literature or Hispanic culture and civilization, who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all Spanish courses, and who rank in the upper 35% of their class. Advisor: Dr. Monica Simal.
